AIMA’s  10th National Management Quiz is only for executives from corporate houses and faculty from MBA institutes

All India Management Association (AIMA) is organizing the National Management Quiz 2009. The regional rounds for the tenth edition of the quiz will be held in Chennai on Dec 5, Kolkata on Dec 9, Delhi and in Mumbai on Dec 21. The grand finale will be held on the same day as that of the regional round in Mumbai, AIMA said.

According to AIMA, the National Management Quiz (NMQ) is not for MBA institute students. “This quiz is for executives from corporate houses and faculty from MBA institutes. Members within a team must be from the same corporate house or MBA institute. Organizations can nominate as many teams as they wish, but each should be of two members,” a spokesperson from AIMA informed.

The champion team at the NMQ will get prize money of Rs. 1,00,000 and the first runners-up team will get

Rs. 75,000. The Quiz Masters for the tenth NMQ will be SPS Jaggi, Jacob Kurian, and V Kumar. “NMQ 2008 was won by a team from Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (East) and a team from NTPC was declared the champions in the quiz held in year 2007.”

“This quiz by AIMA will be an opportunity for the executives and faculty members to update themselves on new concepts and trends in management and management education in an atmosphere of fun and infotainment. It will be an opportunity to benchmark their knowledge and skills. The quiz will also act as a platform to create a healthy spirit of competitiveness among managers and faculty members of MBA institutes,” the spokesperson said.

Those interested will have to register and submit participation fees. AIMA has also announced a discount of Rs. 500 for those who register by October 9, 2009.
