Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai (NMIMS) has added yet another feather in its cap on October 12, 2009 by laying the foundation stone of its Chandigarh Campus. His Excellency Governor of Punjab & Administrator Union Territory of Chandigarh Gen.(Retd.) Dr. S. F. Rodrigues, PVSM, VSM has unveiled the foundation stone and inaugurated the start of the construction work. Dr. Rajan Saxena, Vice Chancellor of NMIMS, Mr. B. P. Seth, Vice-President of Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal, who runs this charitable educational institute, was also present.
The planned infrastructure would be taking shape at Saranpur Institutional Area, near Chandigarh. The land handover was made in the last week itself.
Dr. Rajan Saxena, Vice -Chancellor said that the NMIMS campus is going to be the most preeminent in imparting education in North India. He said that in order to meet the growing demand of the tomorrow and the region, we are happy to accept the golden opportunity given by the Government. It was our dream to reach the Northern India since 1981, when the NMIMS University was formed. We believe and work towards strengthening the corporate foundation by imparting the best in the latest techniques and know-how. The institute is committed to produce well-trained professionals, who can take on the challenges and become modern day business managers.
NMIMS, with its consistent ranking since 1995 among the leading business schools in India, since 2003, has expanded its thrive to impart educational programs in Technology and Technology Management, Architecture, Business and commerce and sciences, besides continuing in management.
