About CAT Exam

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow will convene CAT 2017. Prof Neeraj Dwivedi, faculty and admission chair at IIM Lucknow is appointed as CAT convener. Last 2 CAT exams in 2015 and 2016 were convened by IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore respectively.  TCS the testing partner for CAT since 2014 remains unchanged. Common Admission Test (CAT), gateway to 20 IIMs and other top B-schools will be held in the similar format as that of CAT 2016 and CAT 2015. 

 

CAT 2017 exam is expected to be held on December 3, 2017 in 2 sessions - morning and afternoon. IIMs have shortened the CAT 2017 exam testing window to 1 day only.

 

It is expected that more than 2 lakhs candidates will appear in CAT 2017 exam since the number of candidates going for CAT 2017 registration are expected to increase again. Over the years the candidates applying for CAT aptitude test leading to IIM admission have been increasing year after year as the data for past CAT exam released by CAT convening IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Indore and other IIMs reveal this fact

CAT Exam used to be held in 15 to 20 days testing window till 2013 by IIMs. However, since last 2 years CAT exam testing window has been shortened to one day only. Accordingly, CAT 2017 MBA entrance exam will also be held in one day.
