Common Admission Test (CAT) 2016 is conducted by IIM Bangalore. It will be an online computer based test. Full length practice test has been provided beforehand to familiarise the candidates about the type and pattern of the test.
Apart from Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), there will be sufficient number of Non-MCQs in each section of CAT 2016 exam. Each correct answer is awarded 3 marks. While MCQs carry one-third negative marking, there is no penalty of negative marking for Non-MCQs.
CAT 2016 exam will be of 3 hours duration. The exam is divided in 3 sections of 60 minutes each. Candidates are not allowed to move between one section to other during the 1 hour assigned to the particular section. Test takers cannot leave their seats during the exam.
