IIMs, XLRI, FMS, IIFT, MDI are Top MBA schools in India, says CNBC TV-18 Ranking

When it comes to ranking the top B-schools in India, it is ABCL all the way! IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta and IIM Lucknow occupy the top slot in the just-released rankings by CNBC-TV18.

The rankings are part of the 'The A-List of B-Schools’ guide -- India's most definitive guide for management education aspirants on management education in India. MBAUniverse.com is the Knowledge Partner of this initiative.

It is no surprise that the IIMs are dominating this Top Ten list. Some of the pedigree MBA schools, such as XLRI Jamshedpur, MDI Gurgaon, FMS Delhi, IIFT Delhi have also been able to create their place in this prestigious list. What makes these non-IIM MBA schools at par with the IIMs is their highly experienced faculty, good placement record and emphasis on student-industry interaction.

The 'A of B Ranking' aims to present a multi-dimensional picture on India's leading B-schools. The Top 10 Indian B-Schools including the 6 IIM’s as well as the Top 10 B-schools excluding the 6 IIM’s have been arrived at via a consolidation of two individual survey results – the Aspirants’ Survey & the Deans’ Survey.

The survey was conducted on an all-India basis and did not include international institutes. Only those B schools that run a 2 year, full time management programme were considered.

In addition to the Top 10 lists, the 'A of B Ranking' survey has rankings under several other categories- some which were covered with Aspirants and some which were covered with Employers.

The Rankings also cover B-School with the Best Campus; B-School with the Best Faculty; B-School with the Best Quality of Education for the Fees Charged; B-School with the Best Placement Record; B-School with the Best Reputation Nationally/Internationally; B-school which provides the Best Status Symbol; B-School which has the Best Alumni Network; Which B-School Graduates make for the Best Brides/Bridegrooms; B-School with Best Gender ratio; B-School with the Best Social Events & Parties; B-School with the Best Management Festival.
