The Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) program is a 2 year full time post graduate business management program designed for students from a wide variety of backgrounds. During the Program, the student will receive academic inputs on both ‘core’ and ‘elective’ courses. The first year of the Program shall largely comprise of the core subjects in various business areas such as Accounting and Financial Management, General Management, Marketing Management, Business Economics and Environment and Operations Management. The core courses provide the foundation of business practices and key management disciplines. The elective courses help in broadening the knowledge and perspective of students in a specific area. The mixture of core and elective courses helps in developing a crucial understanding in the inter-relationships among various functional areas.
In the second year of the Program, the students have the option to choose their functional area in which they are likely to start their careers. The Specialization courses help build special functional skills. Typically, the specializations that are offered in the PGDM course are Marketing, Finance, Operations, Human Resources and IT. The second year students have various project oriented courses so that students get more practical exposure.
