Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi was established by the Society of Jesus – more popularly known as the “Jesuits” in the year 1955. The Institute was registered as a separate educational society under the Societies Registration Act in the year 1973. From that point in history it has been recognized as one of the most outstanding management schools in India. In 1978, it moved to its present campus at Ranchi, Jharkhand and over the years it has grown in terms of both capacity as well as resources. Today XISS has earned its own distinct identity to become one of the premier management schools of India.
