Indian economy is on a disruptive flux. On the political front, the initiatives like demonetization pushes towards cashless transactions, introduction of GST and many such changes, this has shaken the economy to the core. Technology is advancing at a pace which businesses are struggling to cope up with.

Automation and AI are catching many 'business as usual' organizations unaware. Governance and ethical issues are emerging from the mostun likely companies giving them testing times. Market leaders are facing the heat from new entrants into the industry. Companies are sweating it out to manage the new generation of staff called the millennial.

In brief, Indian economy and businesses are going through a disruptive phase which will either make or break its future. About the Organizer:

Christ Institute of Management (CIM), Lavasa, blossomed out of the educational vision of Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI). CMI congregation as a Catholic community of priests has a great legacy in the field of education, especially in the Southern parts of the country. Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara, a pioneering educationalist and a social reformer of the nineteenth century,  founded the congregation in 1831. The congregation established Christ College in Bangalore in the year 1969 as an arts and science college. Later it became Christ University in 2008 then managed by Christ University Trust.

Christ University Trust established CIM in the year 2014 with the vision of extending its service in the Higher education field towards the state of Maharashtra. Lavasa was the ideal place to this new venture with its unique environment that was conducive for deep learning. Far away from the noises of the city, Lavasa is nature in its majestic splendor and provides the right ecosystem that supports reflection and ideation suitable for anyone who wishes to aspire higher learning. In the words of Dr. (Fr) Thomas C Mathew, Vice Chancellor of Christ University and chairman of Christ University Trust,

“Christ University seeks to be at the forefront of change, the birth of Lavasa provided us with the perfect opportunity to build an institution in a city designed to serve as a nurturing ground for education and a holistic approach to the well-being of an individual. Lavasa embodied certain values and principles that is cherished by our University, it seemed like the perfect fit that we would establish an educational institution at Lavasa.”

"Excellence and Service” The vision of CIM, Lavasa is to not merely promote quality education that creates tomorrow's professionals but also to transform them into responsible citizens with ethical and human values.

The vision and the mission of the Institution strive to transform students into effective contributors in the 21st century which is challenging, constantly transforming and evolving.
