Education abroad is an option too
MBAUniverse.com Bureau

If you want to get international exposure during your MBA, then an MBA from a foreign university is an option. The US, Europe and Singapore are a few destinations. In the US, some of the best options are Wharton, Chicago, Columbia, Cornell, Duke, Georgetown, Kellogg, Harvard, Michigan, Stanford, MIT (Sloan), Tuck and UCLA. There are other leading institutes like INSEAD in France, the London Business School, and IE-Instituto de Empresa in Madrid etc. To get into leading international B-Schools, a GMAT score of about 600 is desirable. GMAT score requirements differ from institute to institute.

International management education portal MBA.com has more details.

Indian B-schools have also extended their roots to some international destinations. So, in Singapore you have branches of IIM, XLRI, SP Jain Management Institute. Likewise, in Dubai you have IMT, SP Jain Institute of Management and XLRI. Many leading international institutes organize information sessions in leading Indian cities. For example, "MBA Tour" is organized by the TOPMBA website (www.topmba.com), which provides you with first-hand information from some of the leading international B-schools. You can directly interact with the representatives and officers of invited institutes. Such a tour enables potential candidates to know more about the MBA programs at various institutions - both internationally and in India -- which in turn will help them to take more informed decision.

Aparna Prajapati, an MBA aspirant, who attended such a tour recently says, "I think such tours are very beneficial for aspirants like us who don`t have much of an idea about institutes abroad."

To sum up, while MBA is a magnet that will continue to attract lakhs of aspirants each year, thorough preparations and a studied approach in selecting the right B-school will set one up to participate in this fascinating program.
