Q.Sir, I would like to ask is this the right time to start a business. What market factors should be analyzed to say that market is right to start? (Dated: April 28, 2009)(Ravi Kumar - Lucknow)
A.A recessionary time is the best time to explore new business opportunities and become an entrepreneur given that the opportunity cost is not very high. The challenges are many and the success of a venture would depend on a function of the industry, space selected, value proposition, pricing etc. However, it would be a great time to get on board people with good skill sets at a reasonable cost. (Answered by Mr Ashok Reddy, Managing Director, TeamLease Services)

Q.I am currently working in a leading company in the field of process and plant engineering, procurement and construction. Afterwards I am planning to be an Entrepreneur, due to my family background in manufacturing industry (small scale in similar industry as my current employment). I have > 2 years experience. Which MBA course is most suitable for me, before I revert back to India for Entrepreneurship? (Dated: April 28, 2009)(Rajesh - Orissa)
A.An MBA provides grounding in theoretical fundamentals and provides an overview of various challenges that one could face in real life. Going for an MBA post work experience helps to put in perspective the theory that one learns. Going to any reputed institution with entrepreneurship studies would be an ideal way to go forward. Q.Dear Sir, I am a MBA (Retail) student and pursuing my course from Bharti Resources Learning Centre, Jaipur. I have completed 1 year of study and now I want to go for Summer Training/Projects. My area of interest is Retail Banking sector, please advise where and how to contact in above reference. Regards (Dated: April 28, 2009)(Vinod Sharma - Jaipur)
A.You should approach the retail branches of the BFSI (banking/financial services/insurance) sector to explore opportunities in this area. Alongside, could also approach temp companies who would have short duration assignments from this sector to explore possibilities. (Answered by Mr Ashok Reddy, Managing Director, TeamLease Services)

Q.Sir, I am working since past 4 years in a private firm as a Financial Executive and now I want to start my own business. I am worried about the finances and the whole process not getting where to start from and even bit worried about the risk involved. Please suggest from where I should start. (Dated: April 28, 2009)(Vidhi Jaiswal - Maharashtra)
A.Risk and possibility of success or failure are a given to any business. You need to determine what you are comfortable with in terms of investment, income and timeline and thereon decide what business proposition works for your appetite on this front.
