Mahendra Swarup,
President, Indian Venture Capital Association (IVCA)
Mr. Mahendra
Swarup leads Indian Private Equity & Venture Capital Association
(India) as its President. In his 30+ years of top-notch corporate
experience, he is credited with building many hi-profile businesses
including Indiatimes.com, where he led the company as its
MD & CEO of Times Internet Ltd. Prior to his stint at
Times Internet, he was the Executive Director on the board
of PepsiCo India. He has also worked in senior positions at
companies like Nestle, ABB and many more. Apart from leading
the IVCA, Mr. Swarup also actively mentors about a dozen ventures
in diverse areas.
The Indian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association
(IVCA) was established in 1993 to promote the development
of the venture capital and private equity industry in India.
Its members include top global and Indian companies like Bharti
Airtel, Canaan Advisors, Chryscapital, Blackstone, KKR, Temasek,
Walden India and Warburg Pincus. Mr. Swarup is an alumnus
of FMS Delhi.
