MICAT-II: Last opportunity to get into MICA, Ahmedabad; application closes Feb 5

MICA will be closing its gates for admission to flagship PGDM-C on February 5, 2018. The admission process for PGDM-C 2018-20 batch at MICA Ahmedabad is open through MICAT-II now, till February 5. Candidates who have appeared in CAT 2017, XAT 2018 or have valid GMAT score, can apply online for admission to MICA’s own mandatory admission test MICAT-II till February 5, 2018.

MICAT 2018 Registration

MICA, Ahmedabad conducts its own admission test MICAT for the candidates who have applied to MICA for admission to PGDM-C programme on the basis of CAT/XAT/GMAT scores. MICAT is a Computer Based Test (CBT) and will be conducted twice for selection of PGDM-C 2018-2020 batch. Better of the two MICAT Scores will be considered.


MICAT 2018 Result

MICA Ahmedabad has declared the MICAT-I result on January 3, 2018 and has made available the MICAT-I 2018 score card on its official website. MICA conducts two entrance exams for admission to its flagship PGDM-C programme – MICAT-I and MICAT-II.


Candidates can view and download their MICAT-I score card from official MICAT website by inserting their ID and password:


MICAT 2018 Admit Card

MICA Ahmedabad the MICAT exam conducting authority will issue the MICAT Admit card for MICAT-II exam on February 9, 2018. MICAT-II 2018 Admit Card download can now be completed by the candidates from MICAT website. The MICAT-II 2018 exam will be held on February 17, 2018.


There are two MICAT exams for admission to PGDM 2018-20 batch at MICA Ahmedabad. While the MICAT-I result has been declared on January 3, 2018, there is still time for the candidates to apply for MICAT-2 and get the MICAT-II hall ticket for the exam.

Admission process for PGDM-C at MICA is open. Candidates can apply online for MICAT-1, with an application fee of Rs.1965 latest by November 30, 2017. MICAT is MICA’s own admission test, to be conducted on December 17, 2017. Besides the candidates must have appeared in CAT 2017, XAT 2018 or must have valid GMAT scores.

MICAT 2018 Calculation of Scaled Scores

The score obtained individually by a candidate ‘X’ in a particular component of MICAT-I/MICAT-II,e.g. Verbal Ability (VA) will be converted into Scaled Score using the following sample formula for one of the components, i.e., VA:


Scaled Score -VA of a candidate 'X' in MICAT-I/MICAT-II = (Score -VA of the candidate 'X' /Maximum obtained by any candidate amongst the candidates who have appeared in MICAT-I/MICAT-II in VA) multiplied by Maximum Possible Score in VA in MICAT-I/MICAT-II.


MICAT 2018 Exam Centres

MICAT will be held in Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Ajmer, Aligarh, Allahabad, Bareilly, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Dhanbad, Gurgaon, Gwalior, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Meerut, Navi Mumbai, Mumbai, Muzaffarnagar, Nagpur, Noida, Panjim, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Trivandrum, Vadodara and Visakhapatnam


MICAT 2018 Selection Process

The selection process at MICA involves three steps:


Step-I: Apply with CAT/ XAT/GMAT. Each candidate has to take at least one of the three exams: CAT/ XAT/GMAT.


Step-II: MICA Admission Test (MICAT). All candidates are assessed on MICAT, which consists of 6 sections: Psychometric (P), Verbal ability (VA), Quantitative ability and Data Interpretation (QADI), General awareness (GA), Divergent and Convergent Thinking (DCT), and Descriptive Test (DT).
