IIFT 2010 Important dates

Date of IIFT 2009 Exam: Sunday, November 22, 2009

Registration for IIFT 2009 Exam: Registrations ended on Thursday, September 3, 2009


IIFT 2009 Eligibility


The candidates applying for IIFT entrance exam should have a recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline.

IIFT Application Process


The application for IIFT 2009 exam should be online. After the online application is over, a print out of the same should be taken and has to be sent to IIFT.

IIFT Institutes

The IIFT entrance exam is held for the admission in the MBA programs offered by Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) New Delhi and Kolkata.

IIFT Test Pattern

The admission test will be held in a paper pencil mode. The duration of the test is two hours. It covers the areas of English Comprehension, General Knowledge & Awareness, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Analysis. IIFT 2008 had 150 questions which had maximum marks of 100.

IIFT 2008 paper analysis

According to IMS Learning, "IIFT 2008 was a fairly easy paper with a mix of easy and moderately difficult questions. One had to spend time in reading each question because it was framed in a lengthy manner. There were no business judgment cases this year."

IIFT 2009 instructions

While sending the print out of the application form, the candidates should Sign in the Box provided for the purpose, paste his/her photograph in the box provided for the purpose.

The candidates who have not paid through credit card are required to enclose the demand draft of the applicable amount with full name, address and application number on the reverse of the demand draft.

They should enclose two self addressed adhesive labels and copy of the requisite certificate, if belonging to SC/ST/PH/OBC (non-creamy layer) category.

IIFT 2009 Exam Centers

The exam will be held in about 55 centers across 20 cities in India, Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar , Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur and Visakhapatnam.
