Common Management Admission Test (CMAT)

AICTE CMAT exam has raised questions and more questions since the very launch. While AICTE has more or less answered the questions, the rest of the questions can be answered only after the exam starts.

Common Management Admission Test is a national level admission test for admission in all management programs approved by AICTE. The exam is held twice a year in the months of Feb and Sept

CMAT Pattern

CMAT exam will be of 180 minutes duration with four sections which are Quantitative techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness

There will be negative marking of one mark for each wrong answer. Talking about the computer based pattern of the test, AICTE mentions, “Each candidate will be seated at a desk with a computer terminal and scratch paper for rough work. After the test, candidates must leave the scratch paper at the desk.”

The Admit Card of the exam has to be downloaded from the AICTE website.

B-schools to accept CMAT scores

CMAT scores will be accepted by more than 2000 B-schools. Some of the noted B-schools are Great Lakes Institute of Management Chennai, Goa Institute of Management, We School Mumbai and Bangalore, IFIM Business School Bangalore, Jaipuria Institute of Management Noida, Lucknow & Jaipur, IMS Ghaziabad, Asia Pacific Institute of Management Delhi, ITM Navi Mumbai and Bangalore to name a few.
