The top B-schools of India are on the verge of completing the admission process. In today’s article, we are going to discuss the admission process of Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSoM), IIT Kharagpur.
This is the first year since IITs have discontinued the JMET exam, which was the entrance exam for the IIT B-schools. The IITs will consider CAT scores for the admission of the academic year 2012-14. VGSoM IIT Kharagpur offers two year full time Masters of Business Administration program and 160 seats.
Shortlist & Selection Criteria
The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the CAT 2011 scores. The profile of the candidates are taken into account while short listing the candidates for GD and PI procedures.
The final selection is done on the basis of GD and PI processes.
GD & PI process at VGSoM, IIT Kharagpur
At VGSoM, The GD is based on a Case Study where the candidates are given a caselet and on the basis of that the discussion will be held. This will be followed by the Personal Interview round. The Personal Interview round will have questions on the profiles of the candidates and the clarity of their goals to pursue MBA.
Important Dates
The shortlisted students will be intimated about the GD and PI processes by end of February, 2012. The GD and PI processes will be held between March and April. The schedule and venues of the GD and PI are as follows:
1.Mumbai - 9th-12th March
2.Kolkata - 20th-22md March
3.Delhi - 27th-30th March
4.Bangalore- 3rd-6th April
