TANCET , the entrance exam for Tamil Nadu, conducted by Anna University has been announced for the year 2012. Eligibility

A candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 50 per cent marks in any discipline will be eligible to apply for TANCET.

Important Dates

The application process has started from Wednesday, February 1, 2012 and the last date to apply is Thursday, February 23, 2012. The last date to apply through Spot Registration at Chennai and receipt of application through Internet is Sunday, February 26, 2012. The MBA entrance exam will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2012.

Application Process

The application can be done in two ways, first through Spot Registration and the second process is through internet.

In the Spot Registration process, the Hall Tickets will be issued to the candidates who visit the Coordinating centers with a copy of Class 10th and 12th mark sheet and the TANCET exam fee.
In the online registration process, you have to logon to www.annauniv.edu/tancet2012.

TANCET Pattern

The duration of the paper is two hours and consists of 100 multiple choice questions. There are four choices per question. The marking scheme of TANCET is one mark for each correct answer and for each wrong answer, there is 1/5 negative marking. There are five sections in the TANCET MBA paper which are Business Situation, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Data Sufficiency and English Usage. Each section has 20 questions.

The prominent MBA institutes which accept TANCET scores are Anna University, Department of Management Studies, Chennai; PSG Institute of Management, Coimbatore; Bharathiar School of Management & Entrepreneur Development, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore; Thiagarajar School of Management, Madurai; SSN School Of Management & Computer Applications, College Of Engineering, Kalavakkam to name a few.
