The Coimbatore Round Table aims to extend the rich deliberations at the recently held 5th edition of India's biggest MBA education conference - Indian Management Conclave (IMC) 2014 on Aug 8-9 in New Delhi. IMC-2014 was addressed by 35 leading management thought-leaders including Mr Sunil Kant Munjal, Jt Managing Director, Hero Motocorp; Dr Pankaj Ghemawat, IESE Spain; Dr Howard Thomas, Dean, Singapore Management University; Dr Ashish Nanda, Director, IIM Ahmedabad and many others.
The Coimbatore Roundtable shall be attended by 100+ Directors, Deans & Faculty members from more than 50 institutions in the Southern Region. Harvard Business Publishing, Emerald, GMAC and McGraw Hill are supporting this program as program partners.

Managing Director of Titan Company Limited, a B.Tech and Distinguished Alumnus award winner of IIT Madras and a PGDM from IIM Ahmedabad Mr. Bhaskar Bhat will deliver the keynote address at the Round Table Coimbatore. Mr. Bhat has been Managing Director of Titan Company Limited since April 1, 2002 and serves as its Chief Executive Officer and Executive Non Independent Director. Since 1983, Mr. Bhat has been associated at the Tata Watch project that later became Titan Watches and is now Titan Industries. Most of Mr Bhat’s working experience has been in Sales & Marketing. Having started his career as a management trainee with Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Co. in 1978 he moved on after 5 years and joined the Tata Watch Project (initiated at Tata Press Ltd.)
Mr Bhat dealt with Sales & Marketing, HR, International Business and various general managerial assignments. He was awarded the Distinguished Alumnus Award of IIT Madras in 2008.
Mr. Bhat is a Member of Advisory Board at Incube Ventures Pvt Ltd. He also serves as a Director of Virgin Mobile India Limited, Titan International Holdings BV; Titan Watches & Jewellery International (Asia Pacific) Pte Ltd; Titan Holdings Ltd; Titan Properties Ltd., and Titan International Marketing Ltd. He has been a Non Independent Non Executive Director at Trent Ltd. since September 27, 2010. He has been an Independent Director at Bosch Ltd., since January 1, 2013. He is a Member of the Governing Council of the T.A.Pai Management Institute, Manipal and the SDM Institute of Management and Development, Mysore. Mr. Bhat completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad in 1978 and received a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Madras in 1976.
An avid researcher and an author Dr. R Nandagopal, presently the Director of PSG Institute of Management, will deliver special address in the conference. Dr Nandagopal has over 25 years of experience in academics, consulting for governments and policy making. He has been the Director of PSGIM for the past 15 years and is instrumental in making the PSGIM brand a global and vibrant one. Dr Nandagopal has over 42 papers to his name in internationally acclaimed publications and has authored 12 books in finance, management and allied subjects.
Dr. Nandagopal is currently Chairman of the South Asian Council of Accreditation for Business Schools and Program. Prior to his joining PSGIM, Dr. Nandagopal was with Loyola College in Chennai and then was with the Institute of Public Enterprise as Assistant Professor and Program Director for MBA.
PGSIM is one of the 26 institutions run by the PSG & Sons’ Charities Trust. Over the last 87 years, the Trust has helped to educate over 300,000 students in several disciplines. PSG IM started off in 1964 as the Department of Management Sciences at the PSG College of Technology. PSG Tech is renowned in its own right and has alumni in esteemed positions all over the world.
