International Management Institute (IMI), New Delhi inaugurated its cultural fest KRITVA'14 on 16th October 2014
The Director General Dr Bakul Dholakia's speech inspired the students body to go out and live the tagline of Kritva 2014 'Redefining India'.
International Management Institute (IMI), New Delhi organized its 3 day Annual cultural fest KRITVA’14 from Oct 17 to Oct 19, 2014. The inaugural ceremony evening on Oct 16, 2014 was graced by many illustrious dignitaries such as the Director General Padma Shri Dr Bakul Dholakia, the renowned Chief Guest of evening Mr.P. Balaji Director, Regulatory & External Affairs, Vodafone India, the Dean of academics Dr. B.A. Metri and the faculty member Dr. Suparna Basu.

The inauguration commenced with the lightning lamp by the Director General and the renowned Chief Guest along with the faculty members and the students, followed by the welcome address by Akshat Gupta, Secretary of IMI Cultural Association

Padma Shri Dr. Bakul Dholakia’s address set the tone for the beautiful evening as he welcomed the Chief Guest Mr. P. Balaji. The Director General Dr Bakul  Dholakia’s speech inspired the students body to go out and live the tagline of Kritva 2014 ‘Redefining India’.

Mr. P. Balaji then addressed the gathering where he stressed on the importance of making memory and grabbing every opportunity of the eventful Kritva.

Himanshi Mukhija, a student from IMI sang a beautiful rendition of Sarawathi Vandana at the beginning of the inauguration which immediately connected with the august gathering. Heart -warming initiative was the invitation of the young children from NGO named Jamghat who performed the dance of their life time and truly enthralled the crowd. The inauguration ceremony concluded with the dance performance by the students of IMI.

‘Kritva’ is the annual management and cultural festival of International Management Institute, New Delhi. Kritva derives its roots from the Sanskrit word meaning ‘to do.’ The theme “Redefining India” emphasises the same by involving youth who will bring the required changes.

Kritva’14 focuses on identifying the hidden talents among the youth and channelizing their energies in the right direction. Competition, culture, rivalry, strategy, management, skills, entertainment, jollity and celebration – it is a jamboree, which does not just have fun elements but an academic quotient too thus aiming at holistic development of all.

The fest spread across 3 days drawing participation from major B-schools like IIMs, IITs, MDI, XLRI etc. Ranging from case studies, business plans, stock market simulation to dancing, singing, street plays, band performances and fashion show, there is a diverse set of events which take place here. To mention a few Quiz Inc, Globus Feneratus, Ranneeti, Vidhan, Gladius, Treasure-o-Mania, Launchpad, Roving Lens, Excalibur are the management events and Flamboyance – the fashion show, Battle of Bands, VH1 Supersonic DJ night and Star night by Falak Shabir are the cultural events lined up this year for Kritva'14.

With a total participation of about 9000 and a footfall of around 4500, Kritva this year is surely en route its path to truly redefine India!
