Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI), Ahmedabad a premier management institute offering PGDM in Entrepreneurship will see Prof Sunil Shukla as its new Director from July 1, 2015. The appointment of Prof Sunil Shukla as Director of EDI was announced by the present Director Prof Dinesh Awashti at the 16th Convocation celebrated by EDI, Ahmedabad.
Prof Sunil Shukla holds Ph.D. in Psychology from Utkal University and has been teaching and training in the areas of organizational behaviour, human resource management, entrepreneurship education and development of youth. Prof Shukla at present is the chief Faculty at EDI Ahmedabad. His research interests include entry barriers to entrepreneurship and curriculum development. His consulting interests are in the areas of entrepreneurial and managerial competence development, family business management, HR Issues and organizational culture. Prof Sunil Shukla has been helping medium to large sized firms for strategic planning and capacity building of people to groom their Managers as Intrapreneurs and help create conducive climate for corporate entrepreneurship. Prof Shukla has been a visiting faculty at premier management institutions in the country.
100 Post Graduates of EDI Ahmedabad in Business Entrepreneurship and Development Studies were awarded diplomas at the 16th convocation of the B school held on May 2, 2015. The Chief Guest of the function was Dr. Hasmukh Adhia, IAS, Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, Government of India. Shri M. S. Raghavan, President - EDI and Chairman - IDBI Bank Ltd. was also present on the occasion.
Out of the 100 students 85 were awarded diplomas in 'Post-Graduate Diploma in Management - Business Entrepreneurship' (15 in Family Business Management, 70 in New Enterprise Creation) and 15 in 'Post-Graduate Diploma in Management - Development Studies'.

Set up in 1983 is an autonomous and not-for-profit Institute, EDI is sponsored by apex financial institutions-the IDBI Bank Ltd., IFCI Ltd., ICICI Bank Ltd. and State Bank of India (SBI). The B school has a sprawling campus on 23 acres of land provided by Government of Gujarat.
