Analysis & Predictions by T.I.M.E
CAT 2016 exam analysis and expected cut offs as announced by experts at T.I.M.E depend upon the performance of the candidates. According to their analysis “One significant observation that could be gathered from our expert analysis this year is that the level of difficulty of each of the three sections was very close across the two slots. This was unlike CAT 2015, where there was observable difference in difficulty level in two of the sections (LRDI & VARC).”

According to the analysis by T.I.M.E ‘with the paper being difficult compared to the CAT 2015 aross sections, the cutoffs are expected to drop, the drop is expected to be significant in case of the DILR section.’
The cut-offs for the two slots are expected to be as below. As both the slots saw papers of similar difficulty level, the cut-offs are being put up in common.

Analysis & cut-offs by VistaMind
According to Prof Arks Srinivas, CEO VistaMind Education “Given that all three sections appear to be more difficult, there would be a significant difference in the cut-offs for the overall marks. The normalization between the two slots would make a lot of difference for the students of the second slot and hence they should not unduly worry about low attempts.” For a CAT 2016 1st or 2nd slot student to get to know where he stands and what possible percentile he can get, he should visit India’s most accurate CAT 2016 Percentile Predictor is live now.
