All About IIFT 2012
The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, IIFT, is amongst the most prestigious B-Schools in India. IIFT organizes its own written test for admissions, which is known as IIFT Entrance examination.

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, IIFT, is one of the most prestigious B-Schools in India. IIFT organizes its own written test for admissions, which is known as IIFT Entrance examination for the admission in its two campuses, in New Delhi and Kolkata. IIFT Entrance Test takes place usually in the month of November every year. IIFT is a paper pencil based test of two hours duration. It covers the sections of Verbal Ability, General Knowledge & Awareness, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Analysis.
IIFT 2011 was taken by around 56, 000 candidates. The number was increased from the previous year as IIFT 2010 was taken 54, 000 candidates. It saw an increase of four per cent compared to the past year’s registrations

IIFT 2011 Analysis
IIFT 2011 exam was held on Sunday, November 27, 2011. The paper
had 120 questions divided into six sections. The paper was quite
lengthy. Each question had four options and the extent of the
negative marking was 1/3rd of the marks allotted to the question.
The overall difficulty level was moderate.
The Quantitative Ability section had 24 questions from Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Permutation & Combination and Probability. The overall difficulty level was easy to moderate.
The Reading Comprehension section had 15 questions. The difficulty level was easy to moderate. The English Usage section had 20 questions from Vocabulary, which had further questions on Synonyms, Antonyms, Figure of Speech and Idioms. The other questions were on grammar, para completion, sentence jumble and word jumble. The difficulty level was easy to moderate.
The Logical Reasoning section had 21 questions.
The difficulty level of the section was easy. The Logical Reasoning
sets were shorter compared to last year. There were few questions
from verbal Logic as well. The other questions arrived from
Blood Relations, Team Selection, Arrangement, Coding Decoding,
Information based sets, Syllogisms and Course of Action. This
section had 21 questions. The difficulty level was tougher than
last year. The section had a mix of questions from static GK
as well as current affairs. The question types were on personality
n awards, business and economy. The difficulty level of the
section was moderate to tough.
IIFT Eligibility
The aspirants looking forward for IIFT should have a Bachelor’s
degree of minimum 3 years’ duration in any discipline from a
recognized University. Candidates appearing for their final
year exam can also apply.
Important Dates for IIFT 2012
IIFT 2012 will be conducted on Sunday, November 25, 2012. The
announcement was made in mid July. The application process got
over on September 3, 2012.
