JMET Analysis over the last five years
The exam is of duration of 180 minutes and had 120 questions in total. The exam tests the areas of Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning and Verbal Communication. Each multiple choice question carries one mark and 0.25 marks are deducted for every wrong answer.

JMET 2011 Analysis
JMET 2011 paper followed the regular pattern and it had no surprises. The overall difficulty level was easy to moderate. . The number of questions was 120. The Verbal Ability section consisted of questions on Reading Comprehension, grammar and vocabulary.
The Verbal Ability section was tougher than last year. The questions were from Reading Comprehension, English Grammar and Vocabulary. The Logical Reasoning section was the easiest in the paper. The questions were from the areas of Caselets, Statement-Assumption and Data Arrangement.
The Quantitative Ability of the paper was quite tough. The areas of questioning were Permutation-Combination, probability, Higher Math and Mensuration. There were eight questions on Higher Math. Selection of the right questions was the key to crack this section.
The Data Interpretation section was easy to moderate. The areas of this section were Bar Graph, Pie Chart, Tables and Sets.
JMET Eligibility
The eligibility of JMET varies from the different IIT institutes. The minimum eligibility for the IIT MBA schools is that the candidate should obtain a first class Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. Work experience is desirable but not mandatory.
Timelines of JMET 2011
JMET 2010 was held on Sunday, December 13, 2009. Based on the last year’s dates, below are the expected deadlines for JMET 2011.
Exam Date: Sunday, December 12, 2010
Registration: From Monday, September 6, 2010 to Friday, October 15, 2010
Results: Monday, Jan 3, 2011
