Don't bluff in front of the panel, advises CAT topper Laxmi Agarwal of IIM Indore

Continuing with the MBAUniverse.com special series of CAT topper interviews on GD & PI preparation strategies, we present to you today interview with Laxmi Agarwal, 99.23 percentiler in CAT 2008, who is currently doing her MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Indore.

Excerpts from the interview:

Q: How did you prepare for Group Discussion and Personal Assessment round?

Laxmi: For the Group Discussion and Personal Interview round it is essential that you do lot of practice with your friends or colleagues. You can also take advice from an experienced person who can provide guidance about what to do and what not to do under certain circumstances.

Q: What would be your success mantra to the MBA aspirants on GD & PI?

Laxmi: For the GD round, it is very very important to be aware of the developments taking place around you. Have a sound knowledge on the socio-political and the economic affairs. Read the newspaper regularly and also refer to magazines on current affairs such as Business Week, The Economist etc. For the PI round, be calm and composed. Be true to whatever you are saying. Don’t bluff in front of the panel.
