Hello Guys! These are are the common questions which come in the mind when we think of these things. UPES,Dehradun is organizing a webinar to address many such questions, graduates and young professionals face today. Mr. Bharat Chauhan, Director-Marketing at UPES will be sharing his views on why an MBA education will or will not work for you
and why a domain focused MBA can give you the leverage in your career. He will also be available for a Q&A session to address any queries, post the presentation.
It is not very easy to give 10 lakh or 20 lakh as a fees by middle class family's student and after completing the MBA, students don't get job or job having enough salary, these is very big issue for all.All those middle class students who want to pursue MBA,first he think about the fees of institution, then he think about"Is he able to afford that much fees or not".If not how he will manage by loan or some others way.after all these process he takes admission, then what he find after complete the course,he don't have job or having job but don't get enough salary.these all are few reasons why management education going down.
But guys still MBA is the most demanded and most sought after course in India. and this will remain like this because with growing economy we need managers to run the organization like any other professionals.
but yes quality of education and knowledge will definitely matter and this is where B schools role becomes more important.
Most of the B schools are charging very high fee and result is null. Students are not getting job after completing the degree. B schools are opening daily in India but most of them are not able to provide placement to their students. These are some reasons that why management education going down.
Students of management courses need to learn concepts; should be able to build more concepts from that, apply them, internalize them and also build such capabilities that can help them in quickly applying appropriate techniques in real time in future. Passing the examinations should be secondary. In fact, the evaluation system should be such that those who built these capabilities score better in the examinations than those who remember contents taught in the class and develop the capabilities to reproduce them in the examination. Teachers in management courses are the enablers of such processes that can help students in achieving these.
Whoever the students passing out from B-Schools from all over the country having so much expectations .To get placed in a MNC and get maximum package. But the question is
Will they having that much potential ? Are they having required skill set ? Obviously these questions need some attention.
There are so many challenges facing by the management education now.B-Schools are not getting the right students.Even then the number of B-Schools are increasing by a large amount. There should be some proper management to control the whole system to a different level. It requires some definite measures and clear focus towards the management education. This is lagging in our system.Need of precautions extremely increasing .Improving the capability of the faculty, quality of curriculum, infrastructure, and placement records would help the management education and may save it from going to bad situation.
As the demand for management education grows so do the challenge and opportunities too. Today business schools in India face the challenge of creating an indigenous model of management curriculum. Although the area of action to implement management education is a global one but it is also necessary for the curriculum to reflect local aspirations. For eg: curriculum should focus on local case studies where the management principles are broadly examined, questioned and streamlined to meet the challenges of the local/national business environment optimistically. Unfortunately, there are few Indian Business schools that vary widely in terms of the caliber of the faculty, quality of curriculum, infrastructure, and placement record.
