@warrior, it doesn't mean that men are not good managers but there is a need to encourage women who have already proved them better managers..

the indian corporate is willing to welcome the change,Womens becoming managers. But the environment is still not right. In corporate world or even the BPO sector the harassment is rampant. There are lots of womens who are highly intellectual and doing quite well. But there are few girl also who are not doing anything great and still getting the privileges which makes a nuisance out of it.Who ever is employee,Men or Women, doesn't matter much but if the performance is based on gender not on credibility then this makes a MOCKERY of the whole INDIAN corporate.
The govermnet wants to setup the example by getting women reservation quota for upliftment of the gender which makes a sense as seen in ASIAN and EUROPEAN countries where WOMENS are running the stores and managing quite well. But when it comes to CORPORATE world the story seems the same as with india.

@ Warrior - Could you make yourself a bit clear Mr. Warrior. I can't frame out if it is for or against women!
@ Raj - Well Said Raj. The only sensitive remark on this forum.

Women Empowerment is important... There must be emphasis on making women more capable of everything and not divulge into such discussions that make such a sensitive issue, a mockery.

A handful.
And what about the millions of men doing amazingly great work.
Cannot be compared according to statistics.
Men are far ahead

shreya is absolutely right. Time has gone where women stay behind the men.

Women are perfect managers. They can manage all spheres with equal elan. They know when to get emotional and when to control it. look at Indra Nooyi, Vinita Bali, Chanda Kochar...the list is endless!

True. In agreement with Mickey.
Women tend to become emotional sometimes. Not acceptable at many instances.

Well, they do make good managers. But not better anyday.
Girls won't accept the fact but go on with there "being a girl" attitude.

Reality needs to be accepted.
