WAT or the Written Ability Test is gaining more importance in the second round of selection process of the IIMs and other top B-schools.

The older IIMs like IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Indore and Kozhikode have already abolished the GD process and conduct only WAT and PI rounds to select students. Even the top private B-schools like IIFT, BIMTECH etc. conduct essay writing along with GD.
