The eighth Indian Institute of Management established at Ranchi in 2010 has already become the fastest growing IIM in the country. IIM Ranchi has been set up to serve the increasing demand for quality managers in the corporate world, whilst striving for excellence and working towards its core value of inclusive growth. The vision of IIM-R is holistic development of individuals and society, and attainment of thought leadership through erudite fusion of ‘western processes and technologies’ for knowledge creation, dissemination and application and `the wisdom of the east’ for the holistic development of students, businesses and the society at large.
We offer two year full-time PGDM, 18 months part-time PGEXP and research based FPM programme. It is the first IIM in the country to initiate PGDHRM programme dedicated to the HR field. The course outline for all the programmes has been meticulously designed, and is being delivered by world-class faculty.
We have set up a Centre for Policy Research and e-Governance to offer a number of training programmes for bureaucrats and government officials on public policy and e-governance. Center for Neuro Management in collaboration with CIP (Central Institute of Psychiatry) and Rinpas (Ranchi Institute of Neuro-Psychiatry and Allied Sciences), has been set up to engage in high quality research in the field of Neuro Management combining neurology, neuro psychology and business management. IIM-R has also tied up with IBM to set up a state-of-the-art Business Analytics Lab to pursue collaborative research with industry in the field of analytics.
