Course Highlights
  • Case Method Learning from IIM Ahmedabad is the major highlight of 2 years full time PGDM (Energy Management) programme. Faculty from IIM Ahmedabad would be covering major part of curriculum. Students will get the best of theoretical and practical management training from IIM Ahmedabad faculty.
  • The first year curriculum of PGDM (Energy Management) covers courses in General Management like Accounting and Finance, Behavioural Science, Communication, Economics, IT, Marketing, Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, Operations Management, Law, Strategy and Quantitative Methods.
  • At the end of the first year, a student is required to do internship in an organization in power/energy/oil sector for 6 months. The second-year courses provide the students with an opportunity to pursue studies in elective areas with special emphasis on power/energy/oil sector along with a few compulsory courses.
  • NSB would soon be entering into tie ups with international institutions for exchange programs. It would facilitate free flow of ideas and knowledge among academic institutions, brings an international flavor and perspective into the classrooms and prepares students to work in foreign countries.

Admissions Process

Application for admission can be submitted till July 31 with application fee of Rs.500/-. The  Admission/Selection Process for Candidates for PGDM at NSB will be through CAT/GMAT/XAT scores undertaken in last 3 years. The selection of the candidates for admission to the 2018-20 batch of the PGDM at NSB will be based on following process.

  • Candidates will be assigned Admission score (AS) based on their performance in CAT/GMAT/XAT, performance in graduation, experience in background.
  • Short-listed candidates based on the Admission scores will be called for Academic Writing Test (AWT) and Personal Interview (PI).
  • Final selection will be made strictly on the basis of final score consisting AS, AWT and PI marks.
  • Details of the candidates shortlisted will be made available on NSB website on 25th August 2018.
