MBAUniverse.com announces India’s first MBA Test-Prep Institute Ranking; TIME, PT grab top slot outscoring CL, IMS


With the announcement of this comprehensive survey results, MBA aspirants across the country will now be guided by credible data and ranking when they hunt for selecting their institutes for MBA test preparations.

According to an all-India survey done by India’s leading management portal MBAUniverse.com under the guidance of management experts and researchers, two leading coaching institutes Triumphant Institute of Management Education (T.I.M.E) and Professional Tutorials (PT) have shared the first position scoring 352 points each; Career Launcher got third position with 328 points followed by IMS Learning Resources at fourth position with 316 points.

After these top four national players, several strong regional players have emerged in the ranking.

Cerebral Heights, headquartered in Indore, is at fifth place with 145 points followed by Pune headquartered Bulls Eye securing sixth place with 86; Ahmedabad headquartered Endeavor is at seventh place with 83 points, Pune-based Takshzilla is at eighth position with 82 and Delhi-based Alchemist securing ninth position with 66 points.

The ranking has been done after analyzing all MBA Test-Prep Institutes on five critical parameters, namely 1) Quality of students admitted 2) Quality of faculty imparting training to students 3) Academic inputs available in these institutes, 4) Physical infrastructure and 5) MBA results of students.

India's leading management portal MBAUniverse.com constituted an advisory body to help formulate the research objective and methodology. The experts included leading academicians and researchers including Dr. R.K. Shukla - Senior Fellow and Chief Statistician, National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER), New Delhi; Dr. C.S. Venkata Ratnam - Director IMI, New Delhi; Dr. A.M. Sherry - Dean (Academics) IMT-CDL & Chairman, Joint Admission Committee IMT Group of Institutions; and Dr. Uday Salunkhe – Director, Welingkar Institute of Management, Mumbai, and Mr. Sanjeev Singh, VP, Annik Research.

According to the survey research methodology adopted for the ranking, students who are pursuing MBA programme at top B-Schools of the country have been polled for their assessment and feedback on their MBA test-prep institute, and their suggestion for further improvement. Around 400 students from India's top B-Schools comprising IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Kolkata, IIM Lucknow, IIM Kozhikode, XLRI Jamshedpur, Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai, Management Development Institute Gurgaon, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi, Department of Management Studies - IIT Delhi, Shailesh J Mehta School of Management - IIT Mumbai, SP Jain Institute of Management & Research Mumbai, International Management Institute New Delhi have participated in India’s first MBA Test-Prep Institutes Ranking 09.

MBAUniverse.com partnered with Annik Research Services, which is part of Annik Technology -- a global market research and analytics company. The company is part of $ 200 million Quatrro Group, owned by Raman Roy. Some of its clients include Microsoft, Novartis, Sony-BMG and AOL.
