The ongoing Russian Ukrainian war since February 24, 2022 is again derailing the world economy which is struggling to take-off after three phases of the Covid-19 pandemic. On the 12th day of Russia and Ukraine conflict, oil prices have soared to $135 per barrel, fuelling further the inflation in the war torn world.
In 2021, Facebook was renamed "Meta Platforms" and its chairman Mark Zuckerberg declared a company commitment to developing a metaverse. While the facebook rebrands to Meta, this has made Metaverse the new buzz word in the business and social world. Some Experts compare Metaverse in 2022 to where Internet was in 1970s in US. Air India is expected to be handed over to Tata Group very soon as the government has decided to complete the disinvestment process on January 27, a senior official said. Sharing the AIR India Disinvestment Tata take over process, Vinod Hejmadi, Director Finance, Air India, said in an email to sent to employees on Jan 24, "The disinvestment of Air India is now decided to be on the 27 January 2022. The closing balance sheet as on 20th Jan has to be provided today 24th Jan so that it can be reviewed by Tatas and any changes can be effected on Wednesday".
GD PI WAT Rounds are conducted for MBA Admissions to IIMs and other leading B-schools after the announcement of MBA entrance exam results. B-schools shortlist applicants based on their admission criteria and conduct the Personal Assessment Round which consists of Personal Interview, Group Discussion and Written Abilities Test. Infact it will be fair to say that CAT/XAT scores are only used for shortlisting students, while the real selection happens through the GD PI WAT round. Typically 10 candidates are invited by MBA Colleges for every admission seat. So expect a tough competition!

The coal crisis brings a sense of déjà vu as the storyline seems similar to what happens when there is a shortage of sugar or onions. The difference is that the shortage of farm products is normally due to crop failure while the reasons for coal shortage are more human-made.
India is on the verge of a power crisis as the stock of coal at country’s thermal power plants has hit at critically low levels. Many power plants are operating with zero reserve stock or with stocks that could last just a few days. Many States have resorted to load-shedding to save power.

The Prime Minister had announced the plan on the occasion of 75th Independence Day from the ramparts of the Red Fort on August 15, 2021 in the celebration year of ‘Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav.’
