Dr N R Parasuraman, Director, SDMIMD Mysore
Dr N R Parasuraman is a well-known academic in finance area and is the Director of SDMIMD Mysore. In his leadership, SDMIMD Mysore has emerged as one of the leading B-schools in Karnataka and is ranked among the Top 50 B-schools in India.
SDMIMD has earned two international accreditations recently - by EFMD (EPAS) and by ACBSP. It is the first and only B School in India to get EPAS Accreditation from EFMD.
A Commerce and Law graduate, Dr. Parasuraman has 30 years of experience in diverse areas of finance. Dr Parasuraman was an Adjunct Faculty at IIM Kozhikode and is now a visiting faculty at IIM Rohtak and IIM Udaipur. He has published 30 papers and concept articles in various journals. He has authored books titled ‘Financial Management – a Step by Step approach’, ‘Fundamentals of Financial derivatives’ which are popular among the faculty and students.
Before turning to full time academics, Dr. Parasuraman was the Company Secretary of Federal Bank for 5 years. He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants.
