Pedagogical Mix at Indian B-schools
Data collected by MBAUniverse.com for the MINT-MBAUniverse.com B-school Rankings 2017 shows following Pedagogical approaches for the leading B-schools.
  Lecture Case Study Market/Industry/

IIM Ahmedabad 40-45% 35-40% 10-20% - -
XLRI, Jamshedpur 20% 30% 20% 20% 10%
SPJIMR Mumbai 33% 29% 12% 8% -

NMIMS Mumbai 25% 50% 20% 5% -
IMT Ghaziabad 45% 20% 20% 10% 5%

Evident from the above data is that Lecture and Case Study are dominant pedagogy in Indian MBA programs.
Surprisingly, according to this data, IIM Ahmedabad seems to have reduced its Case-method focus, while IIM Indore and NMIMS are putting maximum focus on case method. Some top B-schools like MDI, IMI & IMT are perhaps too heavily invested in Lecture method.

XLRI stands out with its focus on Simulation and Experiential teaching methods. SPJIMR too focusses heavily on non-classroom teaching methods.
