Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) 2024 dates are May 5 and May 11, 2024. SET exam duration has been reduced to one hour. Now Symbiosis SET 2024 Exam Pattern will consist of fewer questions.
Although SET paper pattern 2024 is an online computer basted test being conducted at test centres, Symbiosis International University (SIU) Pune, the SET 2024 exam conducting University has kept the option open to conduct the SET 2024 as internet based test and has announced, “Depending on any unavoidable circumstances, the schedules as well as the nature/structure of the test can change, and all tests can be conducted entirely online or entirely offline or in a combination of both modes at the discretion of SIU.”
SET 2024 is the mandatory entrance test for BBA & other undergraduate programs admission in Symbiosis colleges which are affiliated to Symbiosis International University (SIU) Pune. All the Symbiosis institutes accept only SET exam score.

Symbiosis SET Exam Pattern 2024: Important Instructions
- No extra time will be given for candidates who report late at the test centre
- All the 4 sections are mandatory to attempt
- Candidates can move from section to other during the overall time limit of SET exam
- There will not be negative marking for wrong answers in SET 2024 exam
SET Pattern: Exam Difficulty Level
The level of difficulty in SET 2024 pattern, like previous years of SET Pattern, is expected to remain moderate. The standard of the questions in SET 2024 Pattern will be as per class 12 level. Special care is taken to keep the Quant section difficulty level moderate enough so that the candidates from all streams in class 12 can attempt the questions. Arithmetic remains the main stay in this section.
SET Exam Pattern 2024: Type of Questions

Section-1: General English – 16 MCQs
This section in SET exam includes questions on Verbal Ability and Reading comprehension passages. Vocabulary and Grammar based questions are an important part of General English section.
Section-2: Quantitative – 16 MCQs
This section in SET exam covers Arithmetic of class 10 standard, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry among other topics. Besides, you need to prepare onNumber System, Sequence and Series, Mensuration, Permutations and Combinations, Probability, Equations, Logarithm, Matrices among others.
Section-3: General Awareness- 16 MCQs
General Awareness with 16 questions, is an equally important section in SET exam. Major topics covered in SET syllabus are Current National Affairs, Current International Affairs, Currencies, Capitals, Geography, Books & Authors, Sports among other topics
Section-4: Analytical & Logical Reasoning – 12 MCQs
Reasoning section has 12 questions but is considered as very important section in SET exam. The section is supposed to have moderate level of difficulty but may be more time consuming. Make sure that you have covered all of the topics in this section namely Sequencing and Arrangement, Team Selection, Fact Inference Judgment, Passage Conclusion, Analogy, Statement Argument among others as detailed in SET exam syllabus
After declaration of SET result, candidates are shortlisted for PI round based on their SET Exam score. Candidates are advised to check the respective Symbiosis Institute website for information and dates of Personal Interaction round.
