School of Management Studies (SMS) - Cochin University

School of Management Studies (SMS) Cochin carries a distinction of being on the oldest business schools in the country. It is among the first five premier management institutions to be established in the country.  The School was established in 1964 as part of the University of Kerala. With the formation of the University of Cochin in July, 1971, the School became an integral part of the University, which is now known as Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT).

SMS with Its legacy, now spanning more than fifty years, has blossomed into one of the most distinctive and respected institutions which has given the field of management and business numerous outstanding professionals.

MBA Specializations at SMS CUSAT
MBA at SMS-CUSAT aims at developing the analytical decision making and communication skills of the students. Currently the School offers specialization in the areas of Marketing; Finance; Human Resource Management; Information Technology Management; Production & Operations Management; International Business; Travel & Tourism. The programme also includes general electives in field of Corporate Social Responsibility, Management of NGOs, and Simulation Modeling.

MBA Fee
2 years full time MBA fee at SMS-CUSAT is very low. The MBA Programme Fee is  Rs.33000/-

MBA Admission
SMS-CUSAT accepts IIM-CAT score; Kerala KMAT score and CMAT exam score for MBA admission. The latest valid score in KMAT of Kerala or CAT of IIMs or CMAT of AICTE are accepted. Selection is based on GD-PI which is conducted by CUSAT after shortlisting the candidates on the basis of above exam scores. Candidates need to apply online separately for MBA admission to SMS-CUSAT admission portal.

MBA Placements
SMS-CUSAT provides 100% placements. There is a placement cell which handles all the placement procedures. The highest salary offered last year was Rs. 16 LPA. The average salary for the batch stood at Rs.6.5 LPA.
