Dr. Himadri Das is the Director General of IMI, New Delhi. He took this role in October 2018 on his return to IMI after being away for almost six years. Prior to rejoining IMI, he first served as the Director of Great Lakes Institute of Management Gurgaon and then as the Director of MDI Gurgaon.

In his first innings at IMI New Delhi, Dr Das spent eleven years as Professor of Finance and Information Systems, in addition to taking on a variety of leadership roles. For five years he was Dean (Academic Programs) at IMI. Prior to moving to academics, he had earned thirteen years of corporate experience. Major areas of his industry experience are in the IT products and services industry, in the US and India, for software multinationals involved with products for engineering and financial applications.

Dr Das has been a Visiting Professor at the University of Luxembourg, the University of Tampere in Finland, and the Grenoble Graduate School of Business in France. He has a B.Tech. and MBA from IIT Delhi and an M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Virginia, USA.
