Knowledge @ IMC
One of the guiding principles of IMC is to be a fact-based platform, and not a podium for rhetoric. IMC conducts research, and also invites knowledge organizations to share facts and analytics. IMC plays an important role in researching and documenting best practices of Indian Management Education through IMC Awards. A few of our knowledge initiatives are below:

IMC 2019 Theme Paper: Effective MBA Faculty for 21st Century Management Education

In context of recent Industry 4.0 Trends, IMC focussed on Themes of MBA Curriculum and Pedagogy in 2017 and 2018 respectively. It’s heartening that the two Conclaves were successful in generating a wider debate and many initiatives have been taken on these two themes.

While this attention on Curriculum and Pedagogy is desired, the need to focus on the Central Figure – the Faculty and Teaching Excellence – is perhaps the need of the hour. For unless the Faculty has both the mindset and skills to update Curriculum and Teach effectively, the true value of MBA education will not be realized.

IMC 2018 Theme Paper: MBA Pedagogy for 21st Century Business School

Indian Management Conclave (IMC) is a platform for leaders in business and management education to reflect on critical issues of our times. This paper gives on an overview of the theme for IMC 2018.

We started this journey a few years ago. First, we discussed and debated the Industry 4.0 Trends on Jobs and Careers. Then in 2017, we focussed on developing MBA curriculum for today’s times. This year, at IMC 2018, we are taking a step forward by discussing the Pedagogy for developing 21st Century Business Leaders.

IMC 2017 Theme Paper: MBA Pedagogy of the New Era

Imagine that today is 2025, and a new batch of graduates from your business school is entering the workforce. How will their careers different from those of graduates of 2017? What skills and competencies will the employers value most? What kind of curriculum and learning experiences will these graduates need in their MBA program to excel?
