Dr Rishikesha T Krishnan wears many hats. Having served IIM Bangalore as a distinguished faculty member and after holding Jamuna Raghavan Chair in Entrepreneurship at IIM Bangalore from 2007-10, Dr Krishnan was appointed the Director of IIM Indore in January 2014. At IIM Indore, Dr Krishnan re-established institute’s reputation, undertaken significant academic initiatives like revamping its curriculum and many other initiatives. Dr Krishnan completed his term as IIM Indore Director in December 2018 and returned to IIM Bangalore where he teaches Strategy and Innovation.

Dr Krishnan writes extensively and has more than 140 publications spanning outlets that include refereed journals, the popular press, case studies, book chapters, and books. These include two books on innovation.

Dr Krishnan is a Fellow of IIM Ahmedabad, India. He earned his Master of Science from Stanford University, USA. He is also a Master of Science from IIT Kanpur.
