AIMA's National Management Convention to be held in Kolkata

AIMA will be organizing the 37th edition of its flagship event called National Management Convention on September 22 and 23, 2010 in Kolkata. The theme of the Convention will be "Managing India: Opportunities and Challenges".

All India Management Association (AIMA) will be organizing 37th edition of its flagship event called National Management Convention on September 22 and 23, 2010 at The Oberoi Grand in Kolkata. The convention will lay its focus in the challenges faced by the corporate and their impact on the business and industry. The theme of the Convention will be "Managing India: Opportunities and Challenge".

The chief guest for the event will be Honourable President of India Mrs. Pratibha Devisingh Patil. She will deliver the inaugural address. Mr. M. K. Narayanan, Governor of West Bengal will be the guest of honour for the event.

37th National Management Convention will witness two days of absorbing debates and discussions that will help corporations and professional managers to draw an action agenda with a view to meet the needs of business and industry and also develop India as a global player in the presence of some eminent corporate players.

The convention will provide a unique opportunity to discuss and deliberate on pertinent management issues. On the other hand, the convention will also have stimulating discussions by the speakers from diverse background, i.e. industry, academics, sports, politics etc. who will be sharing their valuable insights on various aspects of Managing India.

Day 1 of the convention will have key note addresses by B.Muthuraman, Convention Chairman and Vice Chairman, Tata Steel and Kamal Nath,Union Cabinet Minister of Road Transport and Highways.

Day 2 of the convention will have eminent speakers like Bhaskar Das, Executive President, The Times of India and Deepak Parekh, Chairman, HDFC limited and many other eminent personalities from the corporate world.

On this occasion, AIMA will also present the awards for Local Management Association, National competition for Young Managers and National Competition for Management Students.
