Classes for this PGP from IIM Indore will be held at ICSI, Centre for Corporate Governance, Research & Training (CCGRT), and CBD Belapur in Mumbai. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) is an academic service agency providing infrastructure, logistics, administrative and other support services.
The program is under the exclusive academic control of IIM Indore and is designed, delivered and certified by IIM Indore. Non-resident Indians and foreign nationals are also eligible for admission.
Eligibility Criteria
A candidate must possess a bachelor degree with 50% in aggregate from a recognized university or an equivalent CGPA. Besides, he/she must clear CAT or GMAT. The GMAT overall cut-off is 650 (GMAT scores obtained between January 1, 2011, and December 31, 2012, are only valid). The minimum sectional cut-offs for general category candidates in CAT 2012 is 85 percentile and the overall cut-off is 90 percentile.
Admission process
The admission process will be of two stages. Eligible candidates will be called for a short-duration written ability test (WAT) and personal interview (PI) based on their academic record and performance in CAT 2012/GMAT. The final selection will be based on an overall assessment of academic record, scholastic achievements, relevant work experience, and performance in CAT 2012/GMAT, WAT and PI.
WAT and PI will be conducted in Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkata and Mumbai. Candidates with valid CAT2012/GMAT scores short-listed for WAT and PI will be intimated around March 29 along with their respective centers.
Programme fee
The fee of this program is Rs 7.5 lakh per annum and is payable at the beginning of the academic year. The security deposit is Rs 35,000; it is refundable at the end of the programme. Tuition fee includes limited study material. Hostel fee is additional.
Academics
The programme consists of six terms (three terms in first year and three in the second year). The tentative date for the start of the first year is July 21, 2013. Besides functional areas offered in the first year, candidates can choose a suitable mix of electives during the second year. The focus will be on consulting, general management, human resources and investment banking.
On successful completion of the course, candidates will get a certificate named “Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)” from IIM Indore. This is recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as equivalent to an MBA in India.
