According to the Raj S. Dhankar, Dean FMS Delhi, FMS endeavors  to produce system thinkers and problem solvers who go on to make this world a better place to live and the faculty’s alumni who are one of strategic assets, are a testimony of this fact.

The institute has a total number of 29 permanent faculties of which 28 have earned their Ph.D degrees from the institutes of both national and international repute. The number of visiting faculties is 18. Out of permanent faculties 31 have a teaching experience of more than 5 years while 24 faculties have an industry experience of more than 5 years.  

Programmes and Fee Structure
The flagship programme of FMS Delhi is its 2 years full time MBA course having strength of 226 students for its 2013-15 batch. Apart from this the institute offers 2 years evening programme for MBA executives and 2 years MBA executive HCA evening programme. It also runs a Management development Programme the duration of which keeps on varying upon course to course and requirement of the corporate.

The total fees of FMS Delhi is Rs 65,690 which includes Rs 10,480 admission fees (including Rs 500 tuition fees), examination fees of 1710 for single semester, Rs 45, 000 as hostel fees for one year and Rs 8000 as other fees. 

So, Who Gets In!
Out of the total batch of 2013-15 at FMS Delhi , 84 per cent students are having engineering backgrounds, 7 per cent are from the Commerce/BBA/ BBS backgrounds and the percentage of the students having science, arts and other backgrounds respectively are 4 per cent each. Only 1 per cent students are having medical as their background.  The number of students having a work experience of more than 18 months is 90, 50 students are having a work experience of 1-17 months, 39 students are having a work experience of  2-3 years while 10 students have more than 3 years of work experience. There are 77 freshers in the batch. The present batch is also dominated by male students numbering 166 as compared to only 60 females.

Up to the mark placements
The placement session 2013 in FMS Delhi witnessed 211 students placed out of a batch of total strength of 216 with 5 students opting out. A total number of 93 companies participated in the placement and the number of pre placement offers was 46. The median salary offered to the students was Rs 16 lakhs.

A number of 39% students were placed under the function of marketing/ sales, 27 % were placed under the function of consulting / general management, 21% were placed under BFSI, 7% were placed under IT/ITES, while 6 % were placed under the function of HR/Operations.  

FMS Delhi Placement 2013 saw a plethora of firms across various sectors offering  jobs such as HUL, ITC, Nestle, Johnson & Johnson, Coca-Cola India, Mondelez-Cadbury, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, Asian Paints, Tata Administrative Services, Mahindra and Mahindra, Reliance Industries Ltd., Ranbaxy, Cipla , Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. and HCL.  In the domain of consulting, Capgemini Management Consulting was the largest recruiter with 12 offers while in the domain of marketing ITC was the largest with 11 offers.

Other FMCG majors who recruited at FMS Delhi included PepsiCo, Reckitt Benckiser, Godrej Consumer Products Ltd., L'Oreal, Nivea, Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages Ltd., Britannia, SABMiller and Akzo Nobel.

Admissions 2014: Criteria and Process

FMS Delhi takes the students for its full time MBA course on the basis of Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by Indian Institutes of Management.

Candidates applying for admission to the first year of MBA (Full-Time) Programme must have pursued at least a 3-year Bachelor’s Degree Programme after 12 years of formal schooling in any of the following disciplines. The minimum requisite percentage of marks in different disciplines is as follows:-

Arts, Commerce or Social Sciences - 50%

Sciences - 55%

Mathematics or Statistics - 60%

Medicine, Engineering or Technology - 60% / CGPA of at least 6.00 in a scale of 10.00 OR Post Graduate Degree or 2nd Degree examination after 10+2+3 scheme, securing at least 60% marks.
