Had Gokhale been not there, Gandhiji might have not been able to achieve what he achieved during freedom struggle and probably the impact of Gandhian thought on Indian Society could have been somewhat different. Scoring a high percentile of 97 or 99 in CAT is not enough to secure a seat in an IIM, the final admission round comprising GD/PI/WAT is still there. Moreover it is not overall percentile but high balanced sectional percentile is required to convert the call to IIM and there you need a good mentor.

Know the mentor’s qualities before joining
Although it sounds a little different but if you can interact with the mentor before joining the preparation course you can well understand whether he can be your mentor and expert guide. You can do well but how to do it can be tipped by your mentor. Whether it is reading, writing, vocabulary learning in context, improvement in every area has to be made with the help of your mentor. Use your logic and common sense with thorough practice and analysis of answers. Much depends upon you as how well you can take the help from your mentor in preparation.
