Admissions Process

Following are the basic criteria for the PGPX Application and admission process: 

A) A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in any discipline. (Minimum 15 years of study as per the education system in India i.e. KG to 12 +2 + 3 or 4 as the case may be.) 

B) Minimum Age of 27 years as on 31st March of the year in which the PGPX programme commences. (E.g. For PGPX 19-20 commencing in April 2019, the candidate should have completed 27 years of age by March 31, 2019, i.e. must be born on or before March 31, 1992.) There is no upper age limit.

C) A valid GMAT/GRE score (GMAT/GRE scores are valid for five years from the date to the application deadline date of the round in which candidate is applying. The earliest acceptable GMAT/GRE test date for the two rounds are - Round 1: August 28, 2013 Round 2: November 01, 2013).

D) Minimum 4 years of full time work experience after completion of graduation.


Registration and application process is online. There are two rounds of application process. First round will close in September 2018 and the second round will close in November 2018. Application fee for 1st round is Rs.5000/- and for second round it is 7500/-).


To ensure that your scores are sent directly to IIMA, please select "Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad - One Year Post-Graduate Programme in Management for Executives (PGPX)"as one of the five programmes to which the GMAT results have to be sent from the menu provided by GMAT before the start of the test.)


IIM Ahmedabad will announce shortlist for Essay topic submission and Personal Interview in second week of September and November respectively for Round-1 and Rpound-2 applicants.


Shortlisted Candidates have to submit their essays on the given topics by the last week of September and November for round-I and round-II respectively.


The Personal interview will be held from October 1st week to December second week in Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, London and Newark.


Final selection list will be announced in the last week of December 2018.
