IIM-Indore to hold international conference on Globalization and Emerging Economies

Indian Institute of Management, Indore (IIM-I), along with Centre for Indian Multinational Education and Research (CIMER) and Academy of International Business, is jointly organizing International conference on "Globalization and Emerging Economies" from

Delegates from all over the world specially from emerging economies, faculty members from India and abroad, senior Indian central government officials and state officials, representatives of multinational companies will be attending the conference at IIM Indore.  

The conference on "Globalization and Emerging Economies" aims to deliberate on how the above aspect have evolved, sustained, and performed in the emerging economies context, says IIM-I. The three days of conference will include over 120 delegates who will deliberate on the above issues through keynote address, panel discussions, and parallel sessions. The conference will be an excellent opportunity for academicians, researchers, industry professionals, and policy makers to deliberate, debate and find possible solutions on the significant issues of Globalization.  

IIM Indore will also be launching the Global Research and Knowledge Management (GRKM) web during the conference were in IIM Indore and eight universities collaborating with IIM Indore from Germany, France, England, New Zealand, USA, Spain and China will be integrated. Indian faculty members and corporate will get access to the knowledge bank of these participative institutions. Says IIM-I, "Through GRKM Web, the success stories of Indian corporate and management knowledge of Indian professors will be disseminated to the world through the world wide global research and knowledge management (GRKM) web thus gaining brand recognition and enhancement of brand value internationally for Indian companies and academic society." 

Talking about the conference theme, IIM-Indore says, "Emerging Economies like Brazil, China, India, Russia, South Africa, etc. have been part of the globalization process for a long time and these parts of the world has been in the limelight since 1991. Their involvement have added new dimensions in terms of theoretical perspectives and management practices in the domain of international business. The engagement of emerging economies in the rapid globalization process has brought transformation on several aspects of emerging economies such as enterprises, industries, science and technology, tradition and culture, history, institutions and on the overall performance of emerging economies. The above issues are covered under seven tracks of the conference."
