BIMTECH to announce GD PI shortlist by Feb 7-8

Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH), Greater Noida, has announced the cut off for CAT 2010 which will be considered by the B-school for admissions to the 2011-13 batch of PGDM.
 

Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH), Greater Noida, has announced the cut off for CAT 2010 which will be considered by the B-school for admissions to the 2011-13 batch of PGDM. The application process got over on Monday, January 31, 2011.

 

For the PGDM and PGDM (IB) the percentile cut off for CAT 2010 is 60. For the specialized MBA programs like PGDM in Retail Management, Insurance Business Management and Sustainable Development programs, the CAT 2010 cut off is 50 percentile and above.

BIMTECH mentions that for the programs like Retail Management, Insurance Business Management and Sustainable Development Programme, the B-school will accept MAT December 2010 and MAT February 2011 scores as well. Candidates who will apply through MAT scores, the cut off percentile is 80 and above.

BIMTECH will conduct GD PI for the shortlisted candidates. “If you have already applied at BIMTECH and submitted your CAT score and you are meeting the eligibility criteria then kindly wait for the GD PI call, which will be most likely be made around February 7 to 8, 2011,” said an admissions official of BIMTECH.

The candidates who want to apply through their MAT February scores, the last date of application is February 15, 2011. The GD PI process for these candidates will be held in March 2011.

Apart from the exam scores, the criteria which are considered by BIMTECH for the admission are past academic records and work experience. The weightage given to these criteria are as follows:

Dr. Harivansh Chaturvedi, Director, BIMTECH informed MBAUniverse.com that the candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview in a ratio of 1:10, i.e. For 1 seat, 10 candidates will be called.
