B-school Directors, CEOs to address AIMS-EPSI Convention on Feb 7

The Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) and Education Promotion Society of India (EPSI) is all set to hold the National Convention of PGDM Institutions on February 7, 2011 at PHD House, New Delhi.
 

Following the AICTE’s rejection of the B-schools’ demand for review of the notification issued on December 28, 2010, the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) and Education Promotion Society of India (EPSI) is all set to hold the National Convention of PGDM Institutions on February 7, 2011 at PHD House, New Delhi.

The convention is being held under the theme of “Indian Management Education: Call for Excellence, Autonomy & Inclusive Approach.” The theme of the inaugural session is “The Indian Growth Story and the Contribution of the PGDM Institutions”.

Padma Shri Dr. Bakul Dholakia, former director IIM Ahmedabad and Director, AIIM will deliver the Valedictory Address at the convention. Top brass from AIMS and EPSI will address this convention.

Convention will be addressed by prominent industry leaders like Mrs Sushma Berlia, Past President PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Mr Sharad Jaipuria, industrialist and representative of ASSOCHAM; Mr Sanjay Bansal, Managing Director, Ambit Corporate Finance and Mr Premchand Palety, CEO, Centre for Forecasting and Research (Cfore).
Management education body Association of Indian Management Institutes (AIMS) will be represented by current AIMS president Dr Prabir Pal, Director, Regional College of Management, Bhubaneswar and former AIMS president Dr Shefali Gautam.

Noted academicians who will speak at the convention include Dr V.K. Gupta, Director, MDI Gurgaon; Dr Saji
Mr. Amit Agnihotri, Chairman, MBAUniverse.com will be present the findings of the MBAUniverse.com–Synovate Research Survey. The survey is being conducted to gauge the views of management educators and corporate honchos towards the AICTE notification.

Mr. Manohar Chellani, Secretary General, EPSI stated, “EPSI is working actively to create awareness about the governance of PGDM institutions, prepare a white paper for deliberations with regulators & seek legal recourse. We are calling all management institutes offering PGDM program to join the deliberations in the National Convention and to take necessary decisions thereof.”
