Jaipuria Institute of Management (JIM), Indore, the B-School, which became operational from the academic year 2010 is conducting the admission process of the session 2011-13. The PGDM program offered by JIM Indore is AICTE approved. There are 120 seats for the program. The fee of the B-School is Rs. 4 lakh for two years.
The selection will take place on the basis of the scores of any of the MBA entrance exams like CAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA or other AICTE approved exams. The last day to apply for JIM Indore is May 16, 2011. The B-School is conducting GD PI across various cities in India. The session will start from July 2011.
Talking about the kind of students expected in JIM Indore, Dr. Gautam Raj Jain, Director of JIM Indore says, We expect to have students from all over the country, including major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Patna, Bhubaneswar, Pune, Ahmedabad, Chennai and Bengaluru, with a good mix of students from across all streams (Commerce, Science, Arts) with an equal number of fresher and those with substantial work experience.
According to Dr. Jain, the uniqueness of JIM Indore lies in the curriculum which provides a progressive route for leaders of tomorrow by blending existing theories in management with digital aspects of business.
JIM Indore is the first Institute in the country to have formulated 17 new courses in Digital Business Practices and over 40 existing core courses and electives have been redesigned to integrate learning in digital business practices,” Dr. Jain mentions.
JIM Indore’s location connects two major industrial regions of Madhya Pradesh, namely Dewas and Pithambur. These two Industrial estates become a good learning lab for carrying out students’ projects, assignments and opportunity to continuously interact with entrepreneurs and managers.
Recent reports suggest the setting up of corporate bigwigs such as TCS and Tech Mahindra in Indore, to enable them to encash in on the rich student base within the region. Reports also suggest there is heavy private equity investment happening within the region,” Dr. Jain states.
He also adds, “Indore has potential to grow along the lines of Ahmedabad and Pune, and even surpass them. The city, which is the 15th largest in the country, has been called ‘Mini Mumbai’ and the ‘Detroit of India’, and we believe the true potential of the city would be realized very soon.
The Placements at JIM Indore take place through a Central Placement Cell located in New Delhi which also conducts the placements of JIM Noida, Jaipur and Lucknow.
Regarding the placements of 2009-11 batch, Dr. Jain says, Placements have shown an upward trend over the past two years, in terms of highest package as well as the average package offered. This placement season has witnessed 73 companies with wide variety of profiles across our campuses. Already 70% (325 Students) are happily placed. A total of 21 companies are still due to visit in next couple of days and another 43 companies have confirmed the visit to Jaipuria Campuses in next two weeks time when JIM would be able to attain 100% placement.
