The Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) will launch its Bhubaneswar campus in July, 2013.
The second campus of BIMTECH in Bhubaneswar is being launched when the institute is celebrating its Silver Jubilee year in 2013.
The Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) will launch its Bhubaneswar campus in July, 2013. According to BIMTECH, AICTE has already approved a total of 120 seats for management programmes to be conducted at the Bhubaneswar campus.

The second campus of BIMTECH in Bhubaneswar is being launched when the institute is celebrating its Silver Jubilee year in 2013. 

The BIMTECH, Bhubaneswar campus is set up on a 30 acres land in the Gothapatna Institutional Area allotted by the Government of Odisha in 2009. The Odisha Government has also allotted land to the other educational institutes like IIIT, IMI, NALCO R&D, Shiksha O Anushandhan University in the vicinity of the BIMTECH campus.

Dr. H. Chaturvedi, Director, BIMTECH said that BIMTECH is currently partnering with 45 foreign B-schools and universities from Europe, US, Latin America, Africa and South East Asia. “Arrangements have been made for exchange of faculty and students from Bhubaneswar Campus to go abroad to pursue a semester with partner institutions. The Bhubaneswar Campus will facilitate a close liaison with the industry for students and faculty.”

To serve the executive training needs of the industries in Eastern India, a MDP centre will also start functioning from July, 2013, Dr Chaturvedi added.

According to the Director, the Bhubaneswar campus will be an Integrated Campus having as many as 9 buildings with residential facility for all students and faculty members. Leading companies like IBM, LG, Godrej, Vodafone, ACIL, Liqvid, Fibrefill etc. have been engaged to provide various kinds of facilities and services.”

BIMTECH is part of the Birla Academy of Art and Culture (BAAC) Kolkata, a charitable trust set up by Mr. B K Birla and Dr. (Smt.) Sarala Birla in 1962 for their forays in art, culture, education and other philanthropic activities.
