A total of 142 top companies visited Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore to recruit its batch of 213 during the final placement at the campus.
The average annual package at the campus was Rs 12.1 lakh and the highest annual domestic salary stood as high as Rs 34 LPA.

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore has almost concluded final placement for its batch of 2013, even as a total of 142 top companies including ITC, PepsiCo, Pidilite, Airtel, Vodafone, GSK, Sony Entertainment, Flipkart, Deloitte, PwC, KPMG, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, Citibank, ICICI Bank, recruited the students from the campus.

According to the placement committee of IIM Indore, the average annual package at the campus was Rs 12.1 lakh and the highest annual domestic salary stood as high as Rs 34 LPA.

“The final placements season for PGP batch of 2011-13 at IIM Indore witnessed participation from 142 companies. The placement season saw increased hiring by long standing partners and 30% new recruiters,” said the placement committee at IIM Indore.

The placement committee, however, added that around 10-15 students are still looking for the right offer at the campus. 
 
According to the institute, a total of 432 participants were involved in the placement process with 40 of them picking up Pre-Placement offers and three participants opted out to pursue entrepreneurial ventures.

Domain-wise

According to the institute, the Marketing and Consulting continued to be the most sought after domains with share of 29% and 23% of total job offers respectively at the campus. Domains like Finance & General Management followed with 17% & 14 % jobs offers at the institute.

Senior management roles such as Chief Operating Officer, Vice President Sales, Senior Manager Strategy and Executive Assistant to MD were offered on campus students, the institute said.

Sales & Marketing: Across sectors, leading companies such as ITC, PepsiCo, HCCB, Pidilite, Airtel, Vodafone, Abbott, Boehringer Ingelheim, GSK Pharma, Sony Entertainment, Flipkart recruited for Sales & Marketing roles. Niche international profiles based in Africa and Middle East were also offered.

Consulting:  The key recruiters in consulting domain included Boston Consulting Group, Deloitte S&O, PwC and KPMG. Recruiters like Cognizant Business Consulting, TCS Global Consulting Group and Capgemini also recruited in big numbers.

Finance: The major recruiters in finance domain included Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, Citibank, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Standard Chartered, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank.

General Management: General Management roles at the campus were offered by TAS, Mahindra Group, Reliance Group, Cipla, Ranbaxy among others.

Operation: Procter & Gamble emerged as one of the largest recruiters in the ‘Operations’ domain offering both pre-placement offers as well as final offers.

IT/ITeS: Microsoft IDC recruited for their coveted ‘Program Manager’ role in the IT/ ITeS domain.

Public Sector Units (PSUs) such as BPCL, HPCL, Indian Bank and REC picked up participants for various management roles. According to the institute, a few participants also opted for sunrise sectors such as E-Commerce, Education and Infrastructure.
