The Summer Placement process of PGP 2015-17 (Post Graduate Programme in Management) batch of IIM Trichy has been successfully completed with record breaking figures. Enthusiastic participation shown by the industry has reaffirmed their faith in the students of IIM Trichy.
102 total students participated in the process and all of them have received coveted offers. In addition, IIM Trichy has gone international, through internship opportunities in Europe and Middle East.
This year 51 companies visited the campus for summer placements (compared to 45 companies last year), offering roles across various sectors such as BFSI, Consulting, FMCG, IT/ITES, Manufacturing, E-commerce, Media and Advertising, NGO among others. There were diverse roles offered in exciting profiles such as Strategy, BFSI, Consulting & Analytics, Sales & Marketing, Operations, HR and IT/ITeS. Niche roles catering to the students’ interests were also offered in Product Development, Operations and Strategic Transaction Group - Investment Banking.
Key Trends in summer placement 2016
IIM Trichy has a consistent record of excellent placement. The batch size of the two year post graduate programme in management at this highly ranked B school increased from 80 students in 2013 to 107 students for 2015-17 batch, out of which 102 students registered and participated in the summer placement 2016. All the 102 students registered for summer placements got more offers per candidate.
Higher stipends
The highest international stipend offered for the internship period is INR 2.4 lakhs, while the highest domestic stipend is INR 1.6 lakhs. The overall highest stipend recorded an increase of 71.4% this year as compared to previous year while the average stipend marked an increase of 13.3% over the previous year at INR 51,000.
