The 15 months Post Graduate Diploma in General Management (Exec) of SIMSR is AICTE approved with an intake of 60 students and is meant for Industry Professionals. The programme is tailored to the specific general management and leadership needs of the modern organization.

 

The specifically crafted PGDM for business executives with over 5 years’ of work experience imbibes a coaching-led pedagogy involving general management and leadership development courses. A combination of SIMSR’s Full-Time Industry experienced senior faculty and Industry experts deliver this uniquely crafted General Management program.  

 

How the PGDM (Exec) benefits the participants

PGDM (Exec) as offered at K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research aims to provide participants with the knowledge of the latest general management and leadership methods and techniques and their effective use in managing people, machines and resources in organizations.

International Immersion for PGDM (Ex) students

International immersion programme for PGDM (Exec) students helps them to acquire business understanding and activity scenario across the Globe.

 

The goal is achieved by facilitating ‘on-ground visits’ to countries such as China, Singapore, Malaysia among  others and by Interaction with representatives / officials of business organizations and government bodies. Visits are organized to manufacturing and retail organizations to gain practical insights and enhance experiential learnings. 

 

The program has an optional international immersion assignment with an aim to provide additional exposure to the students.

 

Eligibility for admission to PGDM (Exec)

Admission to PGDM (Exec) is open to students from India and abroad including Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO’s) and Foreign Nationals (FN) within the intake of 60 seats.

 

Students having completed a minimum of three year graduate programme in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate marks from any University, recognized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU)/AICTE, are eligible to apply for the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM-Executive) programme. Students having completed 5 years of work experience (after graduation) as on 31st July 2017 are eligible to apply for PGDM - Executive programme.

 

Those who have taken CAT, XAT, CMAT or GMAT are eligible to apply for PGDM (Exec) 2017-18 programme.  Applicants should duly fill the separate form for PGDM Executive programme available on the website.

 

Foreign National / NRI / PIO/ Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries need to fill separate form available on website.

 

How to apply

A candidate can apply for the program by filling the online application form & by paying a fee of Rs.2450/- for Resident Indian and Rs.3500 for FN, NRI, PIO and CIWGC.

 

The short listing of candidates will be done on the basis of their qualifying test scores in the written test and Personal Interview. The photo Identity card (Aadhar card /PAN/ Driving license/passport…) is an absolute must. Students are advised to carry a latest passport size coloured photograph to the venue of the Personal Interview.

 

Persons appearing for PI on Skype must scan and submit the ID document. Applicants are advised to make photocopies of all their original documents (Academic / Work Experience / Extracurricular/Co-curricular/ Sports and Outstanding Achievements). You need to write SIMSR Unique form number, Name on every document and self-attest each document.

 

The applicants must carry their original certificates for verification at the time of the selection process and must carry the filled in Candidate Profile and Statement of Purpose (SOP) for the selection process.
